Quick Whole Grain Porridge

Ingredients
- 2 to 3 cups vanilla soymilk or apple juice
- 1 cup cooked grain (such as rice, millet, barley or whole oats)
- 1/3 cup organic raisins
- generous pinch of ground cinnamon
- pinch of sea salt
- 1 to 2 tablespoons shelled hempseed (hemp hearts)
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Combine soymilk, cooked grain, raisins, cinnamon and salt in saucepan over medium heat. Cover and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Reduce heat to low and cook 15 – 20 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed and the grain is creamy.
Step 3
Place a dry skillet over medium heat. When the skillet is hot, add the hempseed and toast, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Stir the toasted hempseed into the porridge just before serving. Enjoy!
