The 2024 HEMPIES
Recognizing all things Hemp related with our Annual Industrial Hemp Awards.
Enter your hemp products, pictures or nomination and a panel of 3 judges will review all items submitted. Based on a scoring matrix, the scores will be tabulated and the winners determined. Winners will be announced at The Hempies Award Ceremony on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the iHemp Michigan Annual Meeting at the Nuthouse Sports Bar & Grill, 420 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, Michigan, from 4 to 8 pm.
Categories
Hemp Building Materials: Any single product or combination of products that is used in the building or construction industry using any hemp material.
Food Products: Any food product(s) using any part of the industrial hemp plant as an ingredient, or industrial hemp on its own.
Best Smokeable Flower: Will be judged on looks, aroma and taste. Please send a 5-gram sample.
Innovations: This can be for an item, individual or group that should be recognized for the advancement of the hemp industry. Submit a maximum of two pages outlining the reason why you believe the entry should win the award. Pictures may also be submitted with a limit of 4. You may nominate yourself, another individual, a group, a product, or a piece of equipment.
Miscellaneous Category: If after reviewing the different category choices you don’t find one that is not a good fit for you, then enter it here.
Personal Care Products: Bath bombs, soaps, facial products, hair care, lotions, salves, tinctures, other related items.
Pets: Any type of pet products or toys or treats. Pet food/treats may be judged on presentation and COA vs. taste!
Photos: Any hemp-related pictures you want to enter. Submit an 8″ x 10″ printed photo to be judged. Or send a digital copy to info@ihempmichigan.com.
Recipes: Any food recipe using industrial hemp as an ingredient or any part of the industrial plant on its own.
Textiles: Any product made of any hemp material, including but not limited to: clothing, underwear, shoes, purses, facemasks, etc. In this category . . . if it’s got hemp in it, it can be entered.
Eligibility: If CBD is included in the product, a valid and printed COA is appreciated.
Winner Drawing | Winners will be revealed Saturday, December 7 during the iHemp Michigan Annual meeting at the Nuthouse Sports Bar & Grill, 420 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, Michigan from 4 to 8 pm.
Prizes | Winners in each category will receive a really cool hemp award. Everyone who enters gets great recognition. We will list the winners on the iHemp Michigan website and will be included in the January iHemp Michigan Newsletter.
How much product do I supply for judging? Provide your product submission which will be used by the panel of 3 judges for their review. If you would like to also participate in our auction during The Hempies Award Ceremony, then please provide us with an additional identical item which will not be opened. We will let you decide the amount of product you need or want to send. For the Smokeable Flower category, please provide at least 5 grams.
