Earth Day 2019 marked the beginning of growing hemp in Michigan. About 50 iHemp Michigan members were the first to receive their grower and processor handler licenses. 2020, well, there was less going. For Earth Day 2021, we wanted to celebrate. We still must maintain social distancing and masks to gather, but gather we will. Board member Jen Nelson and the team at Mid Michigan Hemp Supply stepped up to host our gathering at their facility in Midland. There are multiple greenhouses where you could take a tour to talk about genetics, growing techniques and all things hemp. There was also equipment on hand to check out for harvesting, bucking, and trimming.
