The meeting has been changed to Monday morning to accommodate the MDARD schedule. That’s this coming Monday, April 22, 9 am until 3 pm Causeway Bay Hotel located at 6820 South Cedar Street, Lansing, Michigan 48911. Lunch will be provided. The cost of the meeting will be $25.00.

Gina and her team at MDARD have pulled together an organized process to follow. On the MDARD website you will find the full details. I’ll place the relevant links for the documents to print below here. We will have copies of these documents for you Monday morning.
At the Monday morning meeting, we will review the regulations growers will be required to follow for growing Industrial Hemp in Michigan. MDARD will not be hosting any meetings to discuss the rules before or during the initial sign-up period. We will also review and help you complete the required applications and research documents. There will be access to the internet and copiers at the meeting.
At the conclusion of the morning meeting, you will have a completed package to deliver to MDARD for processing during the afternoon meeting with MDARD.
It is not required to attend the morning workshop. iHemp members can arrive at 1 pm MSU Ag Pavillion Auditorium.
iHemp Michigan members will be the first to submit completed applications for MDARD approval and obtain a grower number. You will be given a raffle ticket to be drawn for the appointment order with MDARD in the afternoon. MDARD wants to use our members as the test run before taking hundreds of applications. They know that iHemp Michigan members will be well trained and have the applications completed which will allow for efficient processing. MDARD also knows that the iHemp Michigan members will be VERY understanding as MDARD implements the registration process.
We will take memberships at the door. The Monday morning meeting and the afternoon event with MDARD will be for iHemp Michigan MEMBERS ONLY! Do NOT invite non-iHemp Michigan members to attend the Monday morning meeting or the afternoon session. These events are for iHemp Michigan MEMBERS ONLY. The location for the MDARD registration will be the MSU AG Pavilion Auditorium located at 4301 Farm Lane, Lansing, Michigan 48910 – start time is 1:00 pm. The regular MDARD sign-up meetings will be listed on the MDARD site.
