iHemp Michigan recently became aware of a state legislative effort to curb the unregulated availability of hemp-derived products containing Delta 8 compounds. This bill package, led by House Bill 4517, has now received its first hearing May 18 in the House Committee on Regulatory Reform.

The leading statewide trade association representing industrial hemp today hosted a roundtable to review Michigan’s pilot hemp season and discuss the highs and lows of the state’s newest agricultural commodity.
The roundtable, hosted by iHemp Michigan, featured regulators, farmers, processors and product manufacturers representing just a few of the many uses for industrial hemp – ranging from CBD oil to high-tech plastics.
iHemp Michigan members visited the Southern Hemp Expo. Come see what we learned at the Frankemuth Hemponomics 101 event.
A small group of about twenty gathered in Lapeer to discuss industrial hemp. Special thanks to John who cooked hemp heart encrusted chicken, potatoes, roasted vegetables and apple fritter type of dessert! We did more than enjoy the food though. Dave discussed the who, what, where, when and why of industrial hemp and a special guest, Valorie Aloisio, of Hemp Lifestyle Network provided detailed information about the role of the Endocannabinoid System in restoring balance to the Endocrine System with the use of cannabidiol.
